Life is a Choice

    "Life is a choice" is a sentence that we often hear and easy to say. This sentence is actually one of the core of life. Whoever you are and who I am, we are always bound by what we call "Life is a choice". In our lives we are always faced with choices. "Life is a choice" refers to something that determines where life will be taken. Unfortunately, we are often faced with choices that have not only two sides, but more than two sides which make it even more difficult for us to make choices. So what we need to find out is how the formula of choice in life works.

     First, based on Felix Siauw in his book Beyond the Inspiration "we are now the result of our choices in the past. And we in the future must be the accumulation of our choices in the present". What we want to be in the future, we determine ourselves, not others. We want to be ordinary people or special people, it all depends on ourselves. If we want to be professors, we must study hard from now on and pursue the fields that we like. But if we aspire to become beggars, street children, or robbers even in the future, we don't need to study hard from now on. If we aspire to become rich, but now we are still lazing, of course our ambitions to become rich will only be wishful thinking. Albert Einstein once said: only crazy people expect different results in the same way. So if we want different results, the business must be different. Just like in mathematics, if you want the result on the right is bigger then the number on the left must be bigger too of course. For example, we want to win the national Olympics. So what we do has to study harder than people who just want to win the class. So all of that is based on choice, want to try or not, want to be special or mediocre. Because there are no such things as "everything" on earth.

 In addition,every choice has consequences.We can choose anything in this life. However, unfortunately we cannot choose the consequences. Even when we don't choose it is a choice. For example, a student makes a choice to cheat on an exam then the consequence when he is caught cheating is being humiliated by his teacher or if he is not caught there is at least a little guilt in him. Whatever choice we choose we must accept the results in the future. But when we think that we have made the best choice but it is not in accordance with the results, we must be grateful because we can reflect on why that choice could be wrong. Because consciously or not,whatever happens to us today we must admit that it is the result of our choices in the past.

      Once again "Life is a choice". The choice to be anything. We are free to take any road. And we must dare to choose. Humans are faced with many choices of life choices. The choices we make can be right or wrong. Although every choice has consequences, but it all depends on us who live to remain relaxed or not in undergoing the consequences. And when we have tread a path, we must take responsibility for that choice.

Freeing Corruptors Amid Corona Outbreaks : Humanity or Opportunity?

   Lately, the Indonesian people have not only been shaken by a corona outbreak, but also by a proposal made by the government that is the release of corruptors as a step to break the distribution chain of the corona.
